Test Manager – Contract

Contract: 8–12 weeks
Rate: Up to £500 per day
Location: Mostly remote, with one day per week in Piccadilly
Clearance: Active NPPV or SC clearance required

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead testing across a programme of new and updated web-based services.

You will define the test approach and coordinate system, integration, end-to-end, regression and User Acceptance Testing across internal teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the test strategy, plan and schedule.
  • Coordinate testing across business, technical and supplier teams.
  • Oversee the creation of test scenarios, scripts and test evidence.
  • Manage end-to-end testing across websites, integration layers, APIs and receiving systems.
  • Coordinate UAT with business users and subject-matter experts.
  • Lead defect triage and manage defects through to resolution.
  • Track testing progress, risks, dependencies and blockers.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and test records in Azure DevOps.
  • Produce test status reports and release-readiness recommendations.
  • Ensure testing documentation is complete and suitable for audit and assurance.

  • Strong Test Manager experience within complex digital or web-based programmes.
  • Experience managing system, integration, end-to-end and UAT testing.
  • Experience working with APIs, interfaces and multi-system data flows.
  • Strong defect, stakeholder and supplier management skills.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps.
  • Previous experience within public sector or another regulated environment.
  • Active NPPV or SC clearance.
  • Experience of public-facing digital services, accessibility testing or integration platforms would be beneficial.
