Test Rig Engineer / Test Technician

Location: Bicester

Contract: LONG TERM ON GOING

Pay:

  • £20 AN HOUR PAYE
  • £30 an hour umbrella
    (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)

An exciting opportunity is available for skilled Test Rig Engineers to support the development and operation of advanced test systems. This role is ideal for hands-on engineers with either a mechanical or electrical bias who enjoy building and working with complex test rigs.

Key Responsibilities for Test Rig Engineer

  • Build and assemble test rigs based on team designs
  • Set up and configure a variety of test systems and environments
  • Work with equipment such as:
    • Dynos
    • Back-to-back test setups
    • Vibration tables
    • Other bespoke and industrial test rigs
  • Operate test rigs to carry out testing activities
  • Ensure all rigs are functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably

Skills & Experience for the Test Rig Engineer

  • Experience building or assembling test rigs, machinery, or industrial equipment
  • Strong hands-on engineering skills (mechanical or electrical bias)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings or technical designs
  • Experience with industrial machinery or complex systems
  • Practical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
