The Team
Our team specialises in automated testing across every stage of product assembly—from PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) validation through intermediate stages to End-of-Line (EOL) testing. Our mission is to ensure product quality through reliable, scalable automated test systems.
Our work includes:
- Internally developed test platforms
- Specialised production test stations tailored to specific needs
- A global test results database
- Data visualisation and analysis tools
- Growing drivers for measurement equipment and test hardware
We collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to facilitate seamless system integration.
Role Overview
As a Test System Software Engineer, you’ll bridge software, hardware, and manufacturing—developing, maintaining, and improving test systems while working directly with production teams to diagnose and resolve issues.

This is not a QA or software-only testing role. Instead, it focuses on production test automation tool development with hardware interaction and manufacturing support.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated test systems on production lines
- Collaborate with production teams to investigate test failures
- Conduct root-cause analysis across software, hardware, and infrastructure
- Improve test systems through failure analysis
- Develop and maintain internal tools, including:
- Test tool platforms & automation frameworks (Python)
- Test data storage, analysis, and visualisation (SQL, Grafana)
- Technical documentation for clarity and maintenance
- Take ownership of production test systems, ensuring their reliability, maintainability, and long-term scalability
- Continuously improve manufacturing and test processes, focusing on:
- Robustness
- Execution speed
- System scalability
- Replace legacy test solutions with modern, maintainable architectures
- Work with test engineers, R&D, mechanical/electrical teams, and production lines for system integration
- Support additional R&D and automation projects as needed
Requirements
Essential
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong Python proficiency for:
- Writing maintainable test code
- Hardware integration (e.g., drivers)
- Troubleshooting solutions
- Ability to simplify complex systems into robust, scalable solutions

Desirable
- Experience with automated test systems in manufacturing
- Understanding of digital electronics fundamentals
- Knowledge of digital communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, I²C, Modbus, etc.)
- Familiarity with manufacturing best practices
- Hands-on experience with:
- Oscilloscopes
- Signal generators
- Data acquisition systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for test software
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Basic Linux command-line skills
- SQL expertise
