What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for performing functional testing, diagnostics, and tuning of electronic assemblies, ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, and schedule requirements. Your role includes:
- Diagnosing boards and units to component level on failing products, with recommendations for corrective action.
- Troubleshooting test equipment faults.
- Executing preventative maintenance and calibration plans.
- Maintaining accurate test records, generating yield and failure reports, and supporting engineering investigations.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in designated test areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to contractual, quality, and production requirements.
- diagnose complex failures down to component level, recommending repairs.
- Familiarise with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) and troubleshooting failures.
- Ensure compliance with scheduled production timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on improvement initiatives.
- Document and report findings accurately to support decision-making.
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- HNC in electronics (or relevant equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in circuitry tuning to meet performance specifications.
- Experience in lab equipment setup & utilisation, including debugging and testing.
- Strong understanding of electronics components (Theoretical and practical knowledge of circuitry).
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and explain circuit functionality effectively.
- Proven ability to use test specifications for manual production testing and debugging.
- Ability to meet production deadlines without compromising quality or contractual commitments.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with RF circuitry principles and controls.
- Hands-on experience in testing complex electronics (fault diagnostics and component-level issues).
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Confident self-starter with independent work ethic.
- Strong communication skills (cross-disciplinary and multi-level).
- Flexibility with shift work.
