Location: United Kingdom (Remote)
About the Role
Our partner company is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-scale software solutions in a global, remote working environment. As part of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), you will design and execute structured test strategies, working closely with developers, business analysts, designers, and project managers in a cross-functional, international team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured yet collaborative environments. You will play a key role in early defect identification, improving test coverage, and driving continuous quality improvements, while also supporting test automation initiatives and modern QA practices.
Accountabilities

Plan & Design Testing:
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements, ensuring full test coverage.

Execute Testing Across Lifecycle Stages:
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate application behaviour and software quality before release.
- Validate features across different environments (e.g., staging, production) to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and track defects clearly, collaborating with developers to resolve issues in a timely and structured manner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, UI/UX Designers, and Project Managers to influence decision-making and testing strategy.

Process & Automation Improvement:
- Contribute to continuous QA process improvements and support the adoption of test automation frameworks.

Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure testing aligns with SDL lifecycle deliverables, providing progress and quality insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Tester, or in a quality assurance role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Developing test plans, test cases, and scenarios for complex software applications.
- Conducting functional, regression, and integration testing in production-like environments.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Aptitude to clearly document and communicate software defects to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in oral and written English, with experience working in collaborative remote settings.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior exposure to large-scale or global software environments.
