The Role As a Non‑Functional Testing (NFT) Manager, you will be responsible for defining, leading, and governing the non‑functional testing strategy across complex enterprise programmes. We are looking for an experienced professional to manage performance, security, resilience, accessibility, and operational acceptance testing across multiple initiatives. You will work closely with project leadership, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure non‑functional requirements (NFRs) are clearly defined, planned, tested, and met. The role includes ownership of NFR test frameworks, tooling, reporting, and capability uplift, ensuring solutions meet enterprise quality, reliability, and scalability standards.
Key responsibilities: Define and own the overall non‑functional testing strategy, frameworks, standards, and best practices. Partner with Project Managers, Portfolio Leads, and senior stakeholders to plan, estimate, track, and manage NFR testing timelines, scope, and budgets. Lead performance, load, stress, volume, security, accessibility, and failover testing across programmes. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify non‑functional requirements and translate them into measurable test criteria. Manage end‑to‑end NFR testing activities, including planning, environment readiness, data preparation, tool selection, and execution. Analyse test results to identify bottlenecks, provide tuning recommendations, and drive timely issue resolution. Establish monitoring and observability practices using APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana. Produce high‑quality test reports, dashboards, and release readiness assessments for leadership and governance forums. Lead, coach, and mentor the non‑functional testing team, ensuring capability uplift and alignment to enterprise QA standards.

Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Strong professional experience within QA, performance engineering, or non‑functional testing leadership roles. Proven experience managing non‑functional and performance testing in complex enterprise environments with onshore–offshore delivery models. Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, and LoadRunner. Deep understanding of performance engineering concepts and performance architecture. Experience guiding teams through performance execution and producing detailed analysis reports. Proven ability to estimate QA scope, risk, effort, and budget on behalf of performance or NFR teams. Strong skills in identifying memory leaks, CPU issues, and performance degradation, and collaborating with engineering teams on remediation. In‑depth knowledge of APM, monitoring tools, bottleneck analysis, and distributed system performance. Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: Experience benchmarking performance results and identifying optimisation opportunities. Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, Performance Testing certifications, or equivalent. Experience working with microservices, APIs, and containerised platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
