About the Role
As a Textiles Teacher, you will inspire and engage students through high-quality teaching, delivering an exciting and inclusive textiles curriculum that enables all learners to achieve their potential. You will plan and deliver well-structured lessons, assess and monitor student progress, adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, and maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in textiles
- Promote creativity, practical skills, and independent learning
- Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment
- Use formative and summative assessment to inform teaching
- Support students of all abilities
- Contribute to curriculum development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to improve outcomes
