Job Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Audience Insights team!
Grow your career in data and analytics with one of the world's leading cultural organisations.
Tate is one of the world's leading art institutions, home to the national collection of British art and a landmark presence in the global cultural landscape. Across four galleries and our growing digital platforms, we use data to better understand our visitors, members and online audiences, helping teams across Tate make informed decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Audience Insights team, where you'll play a key role in maintaining the data that underpins reporting, audience research, marketing campaigns and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
As Data Officer, you will help ensure the quality and accuracy of data across a range of systems, produce and maintain regular reports and dashboards, support CRM campaigns and audience research, and work with colleagues across Tate to answer business questions using data. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to projects that improve how data is managed and used across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will be passionate about reporting and data, with a keen eye for detail and a natural curiosity about how information can be used to solve problems. You will be highly numerate and bring experience of working with Excel and data to produce accurate, high-quality outputs. You'll be confident building collaborative relationships with colleagues across the organisation and be keen to develop your skills in areas such as SQL, Power BI, digital analytics, and quantitative & qualitative research. In doing so, you'll play an important role in transforming high-quality data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making across Tate.
