Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging Thai language and culture curriculum for primary, middle, and high school students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore and appreciate the Thai language and cultural heritage.
  • Integrate cultural, historical, and social aspects of Thailand into lessons to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, including hands-on activities, project-based learning, and collaborative projects, to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their growth and development in Thai language skills and cultural knowledge.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Thai language education and teaching practices to continuously enhance instruction and curriculum content.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities and cross-curricular integration of Thai language and cultural concepts.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Thai Language, Thai Studies, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification/license or relevant experience in education.
  • Proven experience teaching Thai language and culture at the primary, middle, or high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai language pedagogy and instructional methods.
  • Familiarity with integrating cultural and historical contexts into language teaching.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Passion for Thai language education and a commitment to fostering students’ linguistic and cultural understanding.
  • Experience with project-based learning, inquiry-based teaching methods, or experiential learning approaches is an asset.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team to support student learning and school initiatives.
