Theatre Manager – Permanent (Full Time, Including Weekends)
Location: Tunbridge Wells Hospital Salary: Up to £63,700 per annum (based on experience) Hours: 37.5 per week

About the Role
Bring your expertise in clinical management to Nuffield Health, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping high standards of surgical and endoscopy care. As a Theatre Manager at our Tunbridge Wells Hospital, you’ll lead theatre and endoscopy teams, ensuring world-class patient outcomes while driving service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:
- Full operational accountability for Theatre and Endoscopy departments
- Strategise and execute service development, policies, and clinical governance frameworks

Clinical Excellence & Patient Care:
- Deliver high-quality assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of surgical and endoscopy services
- Maintain relentless focus on safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes

Team Leadership & Engagement:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise multidisciplinary teams (doctors, nurses, allied health professionals)
- Foster collaborative working between consultants, senior leadership, and healthcare staff

- Strategic & Financial Oversight:
- Manager budgets, business planning, and resource allocation
- Drive cost-effective and sustainable service delivery
Essential Requirements

Qualification & Experience:
- Nursing or healthcare practitioner qualification (e.g., RN, RNFT, SON)
- Senior-level clinical management experience (5+ years ideally)
- Specialist training in theatre, endoscopy, or relevant field
- Preference for additional teaching, assessment, or ILS/ALS certification

Soft Skills & Attributes: -Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities -Proven track record in process improvement and quality assurance -Resilient, adaptable, and people-focused

Value-Added (Advantageous):
- Professional management qualification (e.g., MSc in Healthcare Management, MBA)
- Experience with patient experience advocacy and care pathway optimisation
