Band 5 Recovery Practitioner (Theatres - Recovery Rooms)
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT), based mainly in Reading, is one of the largest district hospitals in the country.
We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver first-class healthcare which is driven by our world class healthcare professionals.
The RBFT comprises of 20 theatres, providing a 24/7 emergency general/trauma and obstetric service through dedicated theatres.
Our recovery unit consists of four recovery rooms caring for patients from all surgical specialties and from all age groups.
We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated with excellent communication skills and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care.

We invite applicants who are either NMC or HCPC registered to join our recovery team.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Recovery Practitioner is responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care given to patients within the recovery room without supervision.
Principle Responsibilities
- Airway Management.
- ABCDE Assessment.
- Pain Control.
- Patient Care.
- Maintaining patient safety.
