Theatre Team Lead
Theatre Team Lead | Anaesthetics and Recovery
Location: Spire Shawfair Park, Edinburgh Contract: Full Time | Permanent
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Anaesthetics and Recovery Team Leader to join our Theatre Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of skilled staff to provide planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention
- Support the theatre manager by providing regular updates and reports on your team and specialty
- Offer specialist advice and expertise to the team and consultants
- Liaise with consultants regarding planning and special requirements for surgical lists
- Advise and coordinate with SSD and other key departments on specialist equipment, ensuring it remains in good working order
- Collaborate with the Robotic Clinical Lead to develop a plan and ensure appropriate staff training in robotic procedures

Who We’re Looking For
- RN or ODP qualification
- Supervisory experience (desirable)
- Strong ability to analyse staff and theatre management problems and propose viable solutions
- Experience working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
- Expertise in applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
- Ability to challenge consultants to promote evidence-based practice
