Theatre Team Leader PACU

Theatre Team Leader – Clinical and Managerial Support Post

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide clinical and managerial support in the development, implementation, and coordination of high-quality patient care within the theatre department and associated areas.

As the proactive Team Leader, you will lead a team, utilise effective communication skills, and actively review and adapt care plans and goals based on evaluations.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in Theatres, ensuring safe and effective care provision.
  • Oversee staff development and make efficient use of human and material resources.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; applications in English or Welsh are equally welcome.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential Criteria: ✔ NMC/HCPC registration ✔ Extensive experience in therapy recovery clinical practice ✔ Teaching and assessing qualification ✔ Practice supervisor/assessor training ✔ Understanding of NatSsip and LocSsip standards (relating to theatre)

Desirable Criteria: ✔ Degree in a clinical/professional subject ✔ Postgraduate study (Masters level or above) ✔ Advanced Life Support (ALS) / Paediatric Life Support (PLS) ✔ Postgraduate management qualification


Experience

Essential Criteria: ✔ Proven managerial experience ✔ Leadership experience in a Health & Social Care environment ✔ Experience developing junior staff and students ✔ Advanced clinical knowledge ✔ Strong understanding of evaluation and assessment in care planning ✔ Experience in resource management and workforce planning ✔ Experience in with staff selection processes

Desirable Criteria: ✔ Knowledge of human resources policy ✔ Experience in conducting audits/research and setting clinical standards
