Bristol Vet Specialists is a multidisciplinary referral centre based in Central Park in Avonmouth, Bristol. Covering over 30,000 square feet, it is custom built with uniquely designed facilities and the latest cutting-edge equipment.
With Specialists in all disciplines able to treat anything and everything under one roof, the hospital will act as a flagship hub for small animal pet owners in the Southwest and Wales. Our excellent location is easily accessible from major motorways – M5, M4, M49.
We are looking for a Veterinary Theatre Technician / Patient Care Assistant to work in our state-of the-art theatres. The successful candidate will help prepare patients for surgery, assist in theatres during operations and maintain the high-end equipment needed. More responsibility is gained with time and experience, along with a competitive salary banding structure.

This role involves working within the surgery and theatre teams to:
- Open and collect specialist kit
- Assist with the clipping and preparation of animals prior to surgery
- Assisting on the packaging and cleaning of specialist equipment
- Help with the turn around and preparation of theatre equipment
- Assist with the transportation of animals
- Assist with emergency surgery out of hours
