Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Housekeeper to join the Operating Theatres team at St. Mary’s Hospital.
This is a vital role supporting safe, high-quality patient care in one of the Trust’s busiest and most specialist theatre environments, including maternity, Gynaecology, and women’s health services. You will help ensure theatres are clean, well-organised, and fully prepared to support surgical teams and patient flow.
As An Operating Theatres Housekeeper, You Will
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness within operating theatres, Anaesthetic rooms, scrub areas, recovery areas, and associated corridors
- Undertake cleaning between cases, end-of-list cleans, and deep cleans in line with infection prevention and control standards
- Support efficient theatre turnaround and respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests during operating lists
- Restock theatre consumables such as linen, PPE, and cleaning supplies
- Segregate and dispose of waste correctly, including clinical and domestic waste
- Work closely with theatre staff and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Comply with all MFT policies, including health & safety, infection control, confidentiality, and uniform standards
