Therapy Assistant Practitioner
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to work within the Adult Learning Disability Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) and Dietetic teams in NHS Forth Valley.
These teams work collaboratively within integrated multidisciplinary learning disability teams across the Forth Valley area, in both community and inpatient settings. We are small SLT and Dietetic teams but our staff are experienced, innovative, creative, friendly and caring and they are excited to be recruiting a Therapy Assistant to help support the work they undertake.
The teams work in partnership with three local authorities, including health and social care colleagues, third sector care providers and families, delivering quality services across universal, targeted and individualised levels.
The successful candidate will work across all these partnerships with primary goals around supporting adults with a learning disability to improve their health outcomes.
- You will receive a high level of professional support, leadership, clinical supervision and training and development from our skilled and talented staff within Forth Valley.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
