Therapy Lead - Residential Addictions (Priory Eden House)
Department: Allied Health Professionals and Psychology Location: Priory Eden House Compensation: £41,200 - £46,000 per year (Full-time: 37.5 hours/week)
About the Role
Priory Eden House—part of the brand-new Residential Addictions Division ("Flourish")—is seeking a Therapy Lead to join our purpose-driven team. This is a specialised role within a therapy-led residential programme focused on supporting individuals towards sustainable recovery from addiction and related behaviours.
The Therapy Lead will play a critical role in developing tailored care plans, leading and mentoring staff across therapies, psychology, and allied specialisms, and ensuring a person-centred approach underpinned by proven clinical therapies.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Leadership:
- Assist qualified staff in designing and implementing individualised patient care plans based on rigorous assessment.
- Facilitate clinical routines that promote well-being, dignity, and treatment adherence for residents.

Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and support a diverse team of therapists, OTs (Occupational Therapists), psychology specialists, and therapy assistants—ensuring alignment with Priory’s clinical standards.
- Conduct regular management supervision using Priory’s cascade system for all qualified therapy staff.

- Balanced Role:
- With agreement from the Private Business and Therapy Manager, maintain a reduced clinical caseload to prioritise leadership oversight while remaining available to handle:
- Risk management
- Complex patient cases
- Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) collaboration (e.g., crisis interventions, treatment adjustments).

Essential Criteria
Please apply only if you meet these key requirements:

Qualified Clinician:
- Registered Health Care Professional (HCPC) or an accredited psychotherapist (BACP, BABCP, UKCP).
- Clear expertise in addictions work.

Leadership & Management:
- Proven experience in leading therapy teams, including training and supervision.
- A resilient and empathetic approach to managing challenging situations.

Business Awarness:
- Comfortable in a commercial setting with an understanding of cost management.
- Ability to adapt to operational changes.
Skills & Experience Highlighted
- Compassion & Resilience: Built annual experience in high-stakes environments.
- Specialisation: Knowledge of mental health, behavioural addiction therapies, and recovery pathways.
- Problem-Solving: Proficient in supporting complex or challenging cases (e.g., dual-diagnosis, dynamic risks).
- Clarity in Communication: Able to mediate between teams (therapists, carers, MDT).
