As the External 3rd Party Commissions Reconciliation Professional, you’ll ensure the accurate reconciliation of around £180m in commissions and bonuses paid to external partners. You’ll manage claims, resolve discrepancies, support audits, and improve reconciliation processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with complex data.
What you’ll be doing
- Reconcile third-party commission payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, working with internal teams and external partners.
- Review claims and deals to ensure commissions are paid correctly.
- Audit orders to identify errors, risks, and process improvements.
- Support audits by documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure reconciliation processes meet company policies and compliance requirements.
- Build strong relationships with third-party partners, responding to commission queries and resolving issues.
- Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Legal teams to improve processes and achieve business goals.
- Produce regular reports, analyse trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help improve and automate reconciliation processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain clear process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The skills you’ll need
- Experience in commission reconciliation, finance, or a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM, commission management, or reporting systems (such as Varicent is an advantage).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with internal teams and external partners.
