Third Party Personal Injury Handler
Personal Injury Claims Handler
When you join the PI team, you will proactively manage a portfolio of motor claims. This will be predominantly Third Party Personal Injury Claims (Portal and Non-Portal), but there will also be exposure to out-of-jurisdiction claims, including Property Damage, Credit Hire, and Accident Damage—spanning the entire claims journey from infancy to settlement.
You will also provide technical support and guidance to less experienced claims handlers, act as a key referral point, and ensure indemnity spend is minimized through commercial decision-making.
Location & Hours
Sevenoaks, with Hybrid Working options
Working Hours Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (9:00 am – 5:30 pm)
Salary & Benefits
- £28,230 – £37,101 (DOE) plus £1,500 annual bonus potential (achieved quarterly)
Key Responsibilities
- Take accountability for personal performance and meet set objectives
- Validate all claims for indemnity and fraud compliance
- Provide proactive and accurate liability assessment
- Conduct precise quantum assessment of claims using relevant tools
- Apply accurate reserves in line with company guidelines
- Coach and mentor less experienced claims handlers
- Adhere to best practice and key strategies
- Ensure effective file and portfolio management
- Ad-hoc tasks as arising from business needs

Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to work in a culture of openness, trust, and respect
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Fact-finding and analytical ability for accurate decision-making
- Experience handling injury claims outside the Low Value Personal Injury Claims Portal
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, offers, acceptances, and litigation risk management
