We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and driven Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of our award-winning Thyme Restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, inspiring high-performing teams, and driving commercial success.
As Restaurant Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring outstanding service standards, operational excellence, and financial performance. Working closely with the Head of Food & Beverage, you will play a key role in shaping the guest journey, developing your team, and supporting the continued success of our Food & Beverage offering.
What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Operations
- Leading and inspiring a team including the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisors, and Food & Beverage Assistants
- Driving service excellence and ensure all brand standards are consistently achieved
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction
- Delivering effective shift briefings, communicating VIP arrivals, events, menu updates, dietary requirements, and sales initiatives
- Working collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to provide a seamless dining experience
- Taking Duty Management responsibilities and providing support across departments when required
Guest Experience
- Creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional customer service
- Actively engaging with guests and building positive relationships
- Handling guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution
- Maintaining extensive knowledge of menus, beverages, and hotel offerings to maximize guest engagement and upselling opportunities

Commercial Performance
- Supporting the achievement of departmental budgets and financial targets
- Monitoring sales, labour costs, and operational expenses to maximize profitability
- Developing and implementing promotional activities and initiatives to drive revenue growth
- Managing payroll effectively while maintaining exceptional service standards
Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to achieve their full potential
- Conduct performance reviews, identify development opportunities, and create training plans
- Fostering a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture
- Ensuring all team members are trained in service standards, food safety, allergens, and compliance requirements
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing compliance
- Maintaining all required documentation including risk assessments, COSHH records, and operational procedures
- Promoting a safe and secure working environment for both guests and colleagues
- Leading by example in maintaining excellent presentation and professional standards throughout the restaurant
About You
- Have previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior Food & Beverage leader within a quality hospitality environment
- Have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams
- Have a genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Have commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, payroll, and performance targets
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Have sound knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations
- Having the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Have a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Additional Information
- Full-time - Working 45 hours per week
- Working 5 out of 7 days a week
- Shift Pattern: As required
- Salary: £38,000 per annum
- Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application and throughout their employment. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position, either now or in the future
