Role Overview
In this role, you lead the Aerospace Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) business across Europe for a global leader in assurance services supporting aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, MRO providers, and defense contractors. The position holds full regional accountability for growth, operational performance, and technical excellence across aerospace service lines.
Responsibilities
The Aerospace Division Director is responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening technical capability, and ensuring regulatory-compliant delivery of aerospace TIC services across Europe, including NDT, materials testing, structural integrity assessment, and certification support. This is a senior executive leadership role with full P&L ownership and direct responsibility for multi-country operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute the European aerospace growth strategy aligned with global TIC priorities
- Expand presence across key aerospace markets: France, Germany, UK, Spain, and Italy
- Identify high-growth segments such as: Composite structures and advanced materials, Additive manufacturing qualification, Digital inspection and remote testing services

Commercial Leadership
- Own full P&L performance for BV's Aerospace Europe
- Develop and deepen strategic relationships with aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers (e.g., Airbus ecosystem, engine manufacturers, major MRO networks)
- Lead high-value contract negotiations and global framework agreements
- Drive cross-selling across testing, inspection, certification, and advisory services

Operational Excellence
- Oversee accredited aerospace laboratories and field inspection teams across Europe
- Ensure compliance with: EN9100 aerospace quality standards, NADCAP accreditation requirements, ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory standards
- Standardize processes and improve service consistency across countries

- Technical Leadership
- Provide executive oversight of NDT technologies including: Ultrasonic testing (including phased array and immersion systems), Radiographic and computed tomography (CT) inspection, Eddy current and advanced materials characterization
- Drive investment in automation, digitalization, and advanced inspection platforms
Candidate Profile

Experience
- 12–20+ years in TIC, aerospace manufacturing, or industrial engineering services
- Senior leadership experience at Director, VP, or Regional GM level
- Strong exposure to aerospace OEM supply chains and regulated environments

Business & Leaders
- Proven multi-country P&L leadership experience (typically €50M–€250M+ revenue scope)
- Strong commercial development and key account management
- Ability to lead transformation and operational integration across acquired businesses
- Executive presence with OEM and Tier 1 stakeholders
