At Nova Blue Technologies, we’re on the lookout for a motivated, detail-oriented Tier 1 Security Analyst to join our growing SecOps crew. This role is perfect for someone early in their career or looking to level up fast in cybersecurity. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Tier 1 Analyst, you’ll be right in the action, monitoring alerts, triaging incidents, supporting daily ops, and helping our team deliver world-class security. You’ll be a vital part of scaling our services and keeping things humming so senior folks can focus on the bigger picture.

In your day-to-day, you’ll:
- Perform daily security and health checks on client environments
- Monitor alerts via Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Google Workspace, SentinelOne
- Triage incidents, troubleshoot security issues, escalate when needed
- Help prep reports for clients (we’ll show you how)
- Implementing security improvements
- Keep our internal playbooks and SOPs up to date
- Contribute to automation (PowerShell + KQL skills? Sweet!)
- Stick to and develop solid, consistent processes that make life better for everyone
What We’re Looking For

- A passion for learning, improving, and owning your growth
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Foundational knowledge in cybersecurity or IT support
- 1–2 years’ experience working with Microsoft 365 Security tools (Defender, Intune, Entra)
- Understanding of log analysis + incident triage
- Comfortable speaking in client meetings
- Confident in writing clear, structured client reports
- Strong communication and documentation writing

Comparable SFIA skills framework
- Security operations – Preferred level 3 – minimum level 2
- Configuration management – level 2
- Customer service support – Preferred level 3 – minimum level 2
Bonus Points (Nice to Haves)
- Previous experience in a security operations role
- Studying for or holding the SC-200 (or similar certs)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel + writing KQL queries
- Experience with Google Workspace + SentinelOne
