TIG Welder

Permanent

Our client, based in the Trafford area, are a precision engineering company who are now looking to expand the team and appoint a TIG Welder on a permanent basis. The role will pay will be 30k (£15.60/hr PAYE), working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday. Though core duties are TIG Welding, you will also be required to carry out other duties like brazing, soldering, drilling or basic assembly when required.

Summary:

  • Salary 30k per annum
  • Trafford location
  • 4 day working week Monday to Thursday
  • 6.00 am - 3.45 pm OR 6.30 am - 4.15 pm OR 7.00 am - 4.45 pm (37 hours per week)

Duties:

  • TIG welding SS & exotic metals.
  • Soldering, brazing and other duties as required.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of components and assemblies.
  • Using inspection equipment to monitor quality of components produced
  • Complete paperwork as per the company quality system
  • Ensure all products manufactured and assembled meet quality standards
  • Flexible working within other Manufacturing areas to meet workload demands

Experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years working as a TIG welder
  • Time served or relevant experience in TIG welding
  • Mechanical engineering problem solving
  • Engineering units along with thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings etc. is an advantage
  • Must be flexible to move to different areas and do things other than welding when needed.
