Job Description
Are you excited by the opportunity to shape how readers discover and buy books through TikTok Shop? We have a new opportunity to join our Digital Marketing team here at Penguin Random House UK as a TikTok Shop eCommerce Executive. This role will be based at our Embassy Gardens office in London with hybrid working, and is offered as a 6-month fixed term contract.
The Team
Our eCommerce team sits within Digital Marketing and plays an important role in helping people discover and buy our books across online channels. TikTok Shop is a growing area for us, and this role will help to support the day-to-day running and optimisation of activity across titles, promotions, affiliates, and LIVE commerce. You’ll be joining a team that is learning, testing, and building as we go, so we’re looking for someone who is curious, organised, and comfortable working in an area that is moving quickly.
The Role
In this new role as TikTok Shop eCommerce Executive, you’ll help shape our growth on TikTok Shop; supporting the set-up, delivery, and optimisation of TikTok Shop activity across our storefronts, campaigns, creator collaborations, and LIVE operations.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting up and managing product titles for creators, including commission rates and sample allocation.
- Optimising TikTok Shop product pages with clear copy and strong imagery.
- Supporting product selection, pricing, monthly discounting, gift with purchase set-ups, TikTok Shop campaigns, and ad hoc promotions.
- Monitoring and reporting on affiliate activity and performance.
- Building and updating affiliate webinar decks and maintaining rolling collaboration invitations for affiliate authors.
- Supporting LIVE commerce activity, including creating assets, setting up dashboards ahead of broadcasts, and operating the LIVE dashboard during broadcasts.
- Supporting post-LIVE and post-campaign reporting, helping to identify key insights and learnings.
- Monitoring customer reviews within TikTok Shop.
- Tracking stock levels and communicating stock movements to divisions.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, so you’ll need to be comfortable with building relationships with different teams, keeping activity moving, and adapting when priorities change.
What You’ll Bring
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Essential Criteria:
- An entrepreneurial mindset, happy to get stuck in, learn quickly, and help to shape how we do things as TikTok Shop develops.
- Experience of working with TikTok Shop, shoppable content, marketplace activity, or other similar eCommerce platforms.
- A strong interest in TikTok Shop from a commercial and shopping perspective (rather than purely from a social content creation perspective).
- Strong coordination skills, with the ability to keep track of moving parts across campaigns, products, creators, affiliates, and internal teams.
- An analytical, curious, and data-driven approach, with confidence in using performance insight to understand what is working and where we can improve.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues across Digital Marketing, eCommerce, and the wider business.
- A flexible and organised approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Preferred Criteria:
- Experience of the book category would be a real advantage, but isn’t essential.
- Direct TikTok Shop experience would be ideal, but we’re also open to hearing from candidates with strong eCommerce experience, for example, through Shopify or another marketplace platform, who can show a clear understanding of the TikTok Shop opportunity.
