TILER
Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Tiler to carry out repairs and maintenance work across residential and commercial properties in Belfast.
ROLE: Tiler
PAY RATE: £14.42 per hour PAYE
CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary – 27th July to 31st December (Potential for extension)
LOCATION: Belfast, BT15 3HN – Jennymount Industrial Park, North Derby Street (Travel required across East and South Belfast. Company van provided.)
HOURS: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (60-minute unpaid break)
THE ROLE:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out wall and floor tiling work within residential and commercial properties.
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, levelling and applying suitable adhesives.
- Measure, cut and install tiles to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and quality workmanship.
- Grout, seal and finish tiled surfaces to provide a durable, waterproof finish.
- Repair, replace and maintain damaged or broken tiles as part of planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Inspect tiled surfaces and identify any repairs or replacements required.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used and time spent on each job.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service while working within occupied properties.
- Liaise with supervisors and colleagues to ensure works are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency repair rota when required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Wall and Floor Tiling or a relevant trade.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Proven experience working as a Tiler within construction, repairs or maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of wall and floor tiling techniques, materials and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Willingness to travel between sites across East and South Belfast (company van provided).
- Ability to obtain/pass a DBS check.
