We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and detail-oriented Timber Frame Contracts Manager to oversee and manage multiple construction projects across the Swindon, Kidlington, West Worcester, and Reading areas. As part of this role, the successful candidate will also undertake Appointed Person responsibilities for lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple Timber Frame Construction Projects from Pre-start to completion.
  • Oversee contract delivery, ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any contractual or operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular site visits and quality inspections.
  • Manage project documentation, programmes, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Planning, coordinating, and overseeing lifting operations associated with timber frame installation.
  • Produce and review lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements for lifting activities.
  • Selecting appropriate lifting equipment, cranes, and accessories.
  • Monitor lifting operations and stop work where conditions become unsafe or where approved lift plan cannot be followed.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Contracts Manager within Timber Frame or construction industry.
  • Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) Qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of timber frame construction methods.
  • Experience planning and coordinating lifting operations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
