Time Critical Operational Care Specialist
The Time Critical Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing urgent and time-sensitive shipments within the Quick Time Critical department during assigned shifts. The role requires fast-paced decision-making, proactive communication, and precise execution to ensure shipments meet strict deadlines and customer requirements. Note that shift pattern is 4 On / 4 Off (06:00 18:00).
How you create impact
- Manage end-to-end handling of time-critical and urgent shipments (e.g. Next Flight out, express, hand-carry)
- Coordinate closely with airlines, couriers, and transport teams
- Monitor real-time shipment status and proactively intervene to prevent delays
- Ensure all movements meet agreed transit times and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and Customer Care teams
- Handle operational exceptions and escalate critical issues where required
- Maintain accurate system updates and documentation throughout shipment lifecycle
- Support structured shift handovers with clear and detailed status updates
- Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and QSHE standards
- Work collaboratively within a high-pressure, 24/7 operational environment

What we would like you to bring
- Experience in time-critical logistics, express, or freight forwarding operations preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-priority shipments simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive and responsive approach to operational challenges
- IT literacy
- Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (06:00 18:00)
