Summary
Under the supervision of the Title I supervisor, and in cooperation with teachers, Title I Tutors assist students in improving their basic reading skills, math skills, and self-esteem. Incumbents must demonstrate patience and understanding to achieve desired results.
Description
This is a classified position announced to all applicants. Applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
3.2 hours per day | 164 days per year | Grade 3 During the 2026-27 school year, the starting hourly rate is $17.24 (based on the 2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in at least a 5% increase.

IMPORTANT: This is a Bridges Math Tutor position. Tutors will deliver small-group instruction and support using the Bridges Math Intervention program for students who are below proficiency in math. Work schedule: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
General Function: Tutors will operate under the direction of the Title I supervisor, assisting teachers and students in improving their skills and confidence.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum qualifications:
- Option 1: The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) of full-time education at an approved institution of higher education.
- Option 2: An associate’s degree.
- Option 3: Achievement of passing scores on a Utah State Office of Education-approved Para-Professional Math and Reading Test.
