Traffic Management Manager – Overhead Lines Contract (England)

Where Will You Be Working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support modern living.
We provide end-to-end energy solutions across:
- Electricity transmission and distribution
- Renewable energy development
- EV infrastructure
- Metering and home decarbonisation insights
This role is within our Overhead Lines (OHL) team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams: -Construct and maintain transmission lines and substations -Ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What Will You Be Doing?
This Traffic Management Manager role is based across our OHL contract in England, with oversight of all traffic management activities across UK-based Overhead Line projects—including sub-contracts. You’ll coordinate resources and technical support, ensuring:
- Timely project delivery
- Adherence to defined budgets
- No compromise on safety or quality
As an independent yet collaborative leader, you’ll work closely with:
- The Project & Site Managers (for commercial/operational issues)
- The Traffic Management Manager (to whom you’ll report)

Key Responsibilities
- Promote Health & Safety across all M Group Transmission Projects
- Contribute expertise to supply chain functions, including subcontractor appointments
- Liaise with:
- Highway Authorities & Local Councils
- Major project stakeholders To obtain all necessary permissions and permissions updating
- Ensure coordination of timely programming & change notifications with internal teams
- Oversee local authority permits/applications via established channels
What You’ll Bring
This role demands a ** detail-orientated yet agile professional**. You must demonstrate:
✅ Technical & Regulatory Expertise
- Knowledge and understanding of:
- UK Traffic Management
- Health & Safety legislation
- Mandatory recognised traffic management qualification(s), such as:
- LANTRA (12, A, B, D)
✅ Organisational & Financial Acumen
- Ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and implementation KPIs
- Exceptional prioritisation, time management, and workload planning skills
- Experience coordinating complex project timelines across teams
✅ Certifications
- Any professional industry leadership or analyst qualifications are a bonus
- Valid UK Driving Licence (full)
- Willingness to travel/hoteling when required
