Toddler Room Leader

Nursery: Bright Horizons Chiswick Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) Location: Chiswick, London Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours

We are seeking a Toddler Room Leader to join Bright Horizons Chiswick Nursery, located within a 15-minute walk from Chiswick train station.

Our 87-place nursery is Ofsted-rated ‘Good’, nestled in a purpose-built, light, and spacious setting. Key features:

  • A dedicated outdoor garden within the sports ground and access to acres of green fields for play and outdoor activities
  • Floor-to-ceiling curved glass windows offering breathtaking views of the playing fields
  • Specialised studios for art, music, dance, and science, providing even more creative exploration for our children

The Role

As a Toddler Room Leader, your responsibilities include:

  • Leadership: Mentoring and supporting a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Nurturing Growth: Ensuring all children in your room develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Promoting child welfare, health, safety, and safeguarding at every stage
  • Collaboration: Maintaining strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to meet each child’s unique needs

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (or equivalent)
  • Previous Early Years experience, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator
  • Note: Some roles may require a Level 6 qualification

Key Attributes

  • A passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • deep understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills for trust-building and effective teamwork with parents, colleagues, and children
  • Ability to utilise effective communication techniques across all demographics
