Job Title: Tolerance Analyst
Location: Filton (80% office-based) Type: Full time (35-hour workweek) Employment Type: Permanent Company: Airbus Operations Limited

About the Role
You will join the Airframe Tolerancing team within Airbus Engineering, supporting a global, multicultural team based across UK, France, Germany, Spain, with connections to Airbus North America and Airbus India Engineering.
As a Tolerance Analyst, you will deliver specialised dimensional variation management solutions across all Airbus programmes (including A220, Single Aisle, A330, A350, A380, and A400M), as well as research projects, new technologies, aircraft concepts, and industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across engineering design, stress, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and quality departments in a global digital environment.
- Provide end-to-end insights into the airframe development journey, from Research & Technology (R&T) to production, interacting with Final Assembly Lines and flight testing.
- Work with complex design principles (e.g., DFEM [Detail Finish Engineering Method]) and tools (e.g., CATIA, Aerodynamics software) to optimise tolerancing solutions.
- Balance performance, cost, and manufacturability while applying specialised tolerancing methodologies (e.g., ISO tolerances, Mecamaster/3DCS stack-up).
- Support other divisions (e.g., Helicopters, Space) with global knowledge transfer for production efficiency.
- Contribute to project-based and international work, developing expertise in aircraft engineering industry standards.

Requirements
Essential
- Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical or Aerospace).
- Knowledge of:
- ISO Tolerance annotation
- 1D and 3D stack-up design
- Mecamaster/3DCS (or similar stack-up tools)
- CATIA experience (a plus).
- KCnT (Airbus Key Component Tool) familiarity (a plus).
Desirable
- Manufacturing experience.
- Project management skills (planning, team coordination).
- Familiarity with DFMA Defence & Forensic metropolitan engineering principles.
