Contract Project Manager - Business Transformation / Target Operating Model / Service Design
6 Months | £500-£550 per day | Outside IR35 | Remote First | Immediate Start

I'm working with a leading organisation looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support a significant business transformation project focused on Service Design, Target Operating Model (TOM) and Organisational Design.

This is not a traditional IT delivery role. You'll be responsible for bringing together senior stakeholders from across the business to help develop a compelling business case and outputs such as a roadmap for a major organisational and service design transformation project.

Working within a customer-facing service environment, you'll develop the business case for how customer experience and engagement services will be delivered in the future, ensuring customer experience, organisational design and operational efficiency are aligned.

The Role

You'll take ownership of managing the activities required to develop the transformation programme, including:

  • Leading the development of a comprehensive business case for executive approval.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to define the future Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Coordinating Service Design and Organisational Design activities into a single transformation roadmap.
  • Mapping the current operating model, identifying opportunities for improvement and defining the future state.
  • Producing transformation outputs including delivery roadmaps, governance documentation and executive-level reporting.
  • Managing programme governance, planning, RAID logs, risks, dependencies and milestones.
  • Coordinating business, operational and HR stakeholders throughout the programme.
  • Supporting the identification of costs, benefits, investment requirements and expected business outcomes.
  • Ensuring customer experience and customer engagement remain central to the service redesign.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
