Part-Time Tool Hire Assistant – Mansfield Branch
We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Tool Hire Assistant in our Mansfield branch! At Jewson, part of Stark UK, we believe that our greatest asset is our people. Entry Requirements
- No experience required—full training provided
- A passionate attitude and desire to deliver great customer service
- A full UK driving licence ( REQUIRED due to van delivery duties )
About the Role
As a Tool Hire Assistant at Jewson, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive: ✔ Safe, well-maintained equipment ✔ Excellent service
This is a part-time role, ideally working: 📅 Monday, Wednesday & Friday (08:00–14:00) ⏰ The occasional Saturday (08:00–12:00) may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day tool hire & resource management: Oversee teams to ensure efficient, effective, and safe operations
- Tool maintenance & repair:
- Inspect and test a range of tools (e.g., breakers, saws, mixers, access equipment)
- Conduct basic repairs where necessary
- Ensure pre-delivery checks for safety, cleanliness, and operation readiness
- Customer engagement & service:
- Set a strong example in building relationships through proactive communication
- Opportunities for cross-selling to drive sales growth
- Inventory & delivery:
- Deliver and collect customer orders accurately, on time
- Safely load/unload and secure equipment in compliance with company procedures
- Team collaboration:
- Support colleagues in knowledge-building for tool hire operations
- Administrative tasks:
- Complete all relevant delivery paperwork & record-keeping
