Tool Maintenance Fitter

ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for an experienced Tool Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering team in Huntingdon. This is a hands‑on role focused on ensuring extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard to support safe, efficient and repeatable production. WHAT YOU WILL DO Maintain, repair and modify extrusion tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures Ensure tooling is optimised, available and production‑ready Carry out planned preventative maintenance and engineering improvements Support new tooling from commissioning through to production start‑up Record tooling settings, history and data within the Tool Room database Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams Support continuous improvement, 5S activity and safe working practices ABOUT YOU Essential Experience & Knowledge Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience Previous experience in a Toolmaking or machining environment Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D tooling drawings Hands‑on experience with lathes, milling, drilling, grinding and similar equipment Experience within extrusion manufacturing (desirable) Strong attention to detail, safety awareness and communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team BENEFITS: Life Assurance 6x annual salary Critical illness cover Pension contribution up to 10% Dental & Health cash plans Enhanced parental leave Great discounts on local retailers and restaurants Fantastic Health & Wellbeing package including an Employee Assistance Programme Full access to LinkedIn Learning to aid personal and professional development Cycle to work scheme ABOUT OUR WORKPLACE Aliaxis is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who welcomes candidates and employees from all backgrounds.
