Join our Tool Room department as Tool Room Engineer at Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

We are looking for a Tool Room Engineer to join the Tool Room department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to all areas of Production and Mould Shop, set up and operate equipment including CNC Mills/Manual Lathes, Grinders, and general tool room machining equipment.

The team consists of 4 professionals including 1 apprentice, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

This position is available full-time on a permanent basis and based on site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30 – 16.30 and Friday 7.30 – 12.30.

Our site in Stonehouse is a manufacturer of plastic components and single-use products, such as lab scale bioreactors and filtration.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis you will be maintaining injection mould tooling
  • You will manufacture and fit quality parts for production jigs, fixtures, and tooling
  • You will inspect parts visually or using appropriate measuring tools
  • You will perform applicable tool, jig, and fixtures repair and maintenance – both preventative and responsive
  • You will ensure the quality of work is within the required standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • You will develop and work with preventative maintenance schedule compliant with ISO13485
  • You will support the Tool Room Manager and daily production team as required
  • You will follow the requirements of the quality system and inform the Quality team in regards to any quality related issues
  • You would maintain systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 13485, and IVD regulations including good documentation practices

What Will Convince Us

  • Hands on experience in manufacturing or engineering workshop/mould shop/tool room environment ideally worked on low volume prototype, R&D type work
  • Machining experience capable of high tolerance work
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • CNC experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team as well individually
  • Highly organised and strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills
