What will you do in the role?
The Tooling Storekeeper will take responsibility for ensuring that all aircraft tooling is controlled, stored, packed, handled, and located correctly, whilst adhering to published engineering procedures and operating to a high standard in relation to aircraft safety. The Tooling Storekeeper will also:
- Carry out routine inspections of aircraft tooling, conducting minor maintenance and ensure any potential defective tooling is efficiently and cost effectively dispatched for repair or calibration.
- Carry out the Tooling Gods In function and ship Tooling DG as necessary.
- Take a proactive approach to ensure service levels are kept to a high standard.
- Maintain records of all transactions in a diligent and accurate manner.
- Liaise with internal and external departments/suppliers.
- Ensure relevant Tooling Change Bulletins and Tooling Equipment bulletins are actioned appropriately.
- Uphold the Tooling department's Mission Statement of ‘Right Tool, Right Place, Right Time’.

What do we need from you?
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment is always maintained.
- Have experience of working with Tooling equipment and ideally have a good understanding of the aviation sector.
- Have knowledge of tooling/stores processes.
- Have a proactive and pragmatic approach, as well as the ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Be flexible and willing to support the needs of the operation.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Require a full UK driving license.
After a period of training, it is expected that the Tooling Storekeeper will work on a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern.
