About The Job
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker to manufacture our injection moulding tools, working to exacting quality standards. This is a busy role where you’ll operate a range of toolroom machinery, including milling, grinding, turning, spark erosion, and laser welding, to produce and develop tooling from concept through to final sign-off. You’ll be responsible for fitting and assembling new injection mould tools, ensuring each component meets specification and performs reliably in a production environment.
You will need at least a level 3 BTEC or equivalent Vocational qualification within Engineering or a transferable field to undertake this key role. You will be maintaining and improving existing tooling by carrying out repairs, modifications, and providing ongoing support to injection moulding operations. You’ll need to confidently read and interpret technical drawings, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to keep production running smoothly. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and a commitment to high standards are essential, as is working in line with the culture and ethics of Games Workshop.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
