Job Title: Toolmaker / Bench Hand

Shift: Fixed day shift, 7:30-16:00 Mon-Thursday, & 7:30-13:00 Friday, plus overtime
Location: Darlaston
Salary: £30,000 to £37,000 depending on experience
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are now seeking a Toolmaker / Bench Hand with experience in high pressure die cast tooling. This role will require carrying out tool changeovers, repairs and servicing to support the production requirements of our on-site die cast foundry. Reporting to the Toolroom Team-Leader.
Responsibilities
- To carry out changeovers, repairs and servicing on precision high-pressure zinc casting dies
- To offer technical (tooling) support to casting operatives
- Adopt a positive & flexible approach, to undertake other toolroom based operations when required (e.g. manufacture of jigs/fixtures)

Essential Skills
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, coupled with knowledge and experience of the following:
- Experienced toolmaker / bench hand with a background in high pressure zinc die cast tooling
- Proficient in the operation of toolroom machinery, working to close tolerances, to produce spare/replacement parts if required
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work both alone and as part of a team, without supervision
