Toolroom Improver
Toolroom Improver – Dudley
Competitive Salary
Our client is a well-established SME manufacturing company that specialises in the supply of metal-based components across multiple sectors. They are searching for a Toolroom Improver to join their existing team. In this role, you will focus on maintaining tools to support production areas and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of new tools and modify existing tooling
- Surface grind to tight tolerances
- Monitor tool usage and performance across production
- Fit, trial, and modify new tooling for presses
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild tools
- Use precision measurement tools, including vernier callipers and micrometres

Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Toolroom
- Experience in servicing and repairing progression tools
- Experience with CNC and EDM machining would be advantageous
- Must be able to work to tight tolerances
- Competency in reading and following engineering drawings
