Topographical / Mutli-skilled Surveyor

At Encompass Geospatial

Accuracy, innovation, and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. We’re looking for a Topographical / Multi-skilled Surveyor to join our expanding team and help deliver high-quality geospatial data for projects across the UK and beyond.

About the Role

Working across a broad range of sectors — including construction, infrastructure, and environmental development — you’ll use the latest total stations, GNSS, and 3D laser scanning technologies to capture and deliver precise survey data. You’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues in a supportive environment that values professional growth, technical excellence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This role is ideal for someone with at least one year’s experience in topographical surveying who is keen to broaden their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct topographical surveys, producing accurate 2D & 3D data deliverables.
  • Operate a variety of survey instruments — including total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and drones (UAVs).
  • Process survey data, create CAD drawings and digital terrain models to industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other survey teams (utility, BIM, and Engineering) to provide integrated project solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and safety of all survey outputs.
  • Maintain equipment and manage field documentation effectively.
  • Occasionally, travel to sites across the UK and abroad for short-term fieldwork assignments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
