Total Rewards Business Partner
Location: Europe/APAC – Hybrid/Remote-flexible where possible
We’re looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Total Rewards Business Partner to join our team. As part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our compensation and benefits landscape across Europe and APAC markets, ensuring competitiveness while aligning with our global strategies. This role will report to the Total Reworks Lead and collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, HR, and Associates (Employees).
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Benchmarking
- Lead external market surveys and conduct benchmarking analysis to maintain competitiveness against industry standards while adhering to our pay philosophy and regional frameworks.
- Perform job evaluations and market pricing for new and evolving roles, providing data-backed salary recommendations.
- Partner with Business Stakeholders, People & Organisation (P&O), and Associates to communicate Rewards programmes, address inquiries, and resolve compensation-related issues.
- Support organisation design initiatives with compensation impact assessments.
- Maintain and evolve salary structures and grading frameworks to align with business growth.
Data Analytics & Insights
- Develop compensation and benefits dashboards to support leadership in making informed decisions.
- Conduct cost modelling and scenario analysis for merit cycles, incentive plans, and structural changes.
- Analyse pay equity trends, reward competitiveness, and program effectiveness, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with HRIS and Finance to improve reporting automation and data quality controls.
- Simplify complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Annual Cycles & Program Management
- Co-own annual merit and incentive cycles, ensuring governance, timeline adherence, and budget alignment.
- Work with Finance during compensation planning, forecasting, and benefit offers.
- Support review and enhancement of benefit programmes with vendors and local P&O teams.
- Design, implement, and refine new or revised reward programmes, policies, and guidelines.
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Business & HR leaders, guiding decisions on compensation and rewards.
- Develop training, tools, and communications for managers regarding compensation processes and philosophy.
- Provide structured, data-backed guidance for complex compensation queries.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure reward programs comply with internal governance and local regulations.
- Maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for policies and processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency across markets.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 4–6 years in analytical roles such as Compensation, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, or related HR/Finance specialisations. Preference for multi-country exposure.
- Compensation Fundamentals: Strong command of benchmarking, salary structuring, job evaluation, and incentive administration.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling, interpreting large datasets, and quantifying business decisions.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel for large data manipulation with absolute accuracy.
- Workday knowledge is desirable.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Communication & Influence: Reputation for clear, concise writing and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ambiguity @ Scale: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, unpredictable environments, prioritise work, and deliver under speed and urgency while maintaining precision.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English (C1 level or higher).
