Planner | Town Planning Consultancy | London | Hybrid

The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy looking to add a Planner to its growing team in London. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative planning team delivering projects across a broad mix of sectors, offering exposure to varied sectors and genuine opportunities for long-term career development.

The role would suit someone with around 2 - 3 years’ experience who is looking to broaden their project exposure, work alongside multiple disciplines, and join a business with a strong track record of developing talent internally whilst working on some of the most unique opportunities with high profile clients.

About the Company

This is a well established consultancy with a genuinely multidisciplinary offering, where planners work closely with professionals across design, engineering and environmental disciplines to deliver projects across the UK.

The planning team is known for its collaborative culture, strong internal networks and commitment to developing staff at all stages of their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of planning projects across a diverse range of sectors including residential, infrastructure, healthcare, education and commercial development
  • Prepare planning applications, supporting reports and related documentation
  • Assist in managing projects from early stage strategy through to determination
  • Build relationships with clients, local authorities and wider project teams
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes
  • Contribute to business development activities and support team growth initiatives where appropriate
  • Develop technical knowledge across a wide variety of project types and planning issues

Who They’re Keen to Hear From

  • MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
  • Around 2 - 3 years’ planning experience within either the public or private sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ambitious, motivated and eager to continue developing professionally
  • Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and building relationships across teams
  • Delivery focused with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Keen to work across a variety of sectors rather than specialising too early
