Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career; with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
You’ll be working within mobile networks where we keep the country connected through the survey, design, installation and maintenance of private 5G networks, small cells, supporting Smart Cities & Connected infrastructure.
Want to come and be a part of it?
We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Town Planner to join our growing team and help deliver planning solutions for telecommunications and infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, develop your planning expertise, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. While you'll be based from one of our offices in West Byfleet, Diseworth or Warwick, we'll also consider applications from candidates located further afield for the right person, provided you're able to travel when required.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Town Planner, you'll work closely with acquisition specialists, designers, engineers and surveyors to help identify, assess and secure the most appropriate sites and design solutions for our clients. You'll undertake planning research, site appraisals and feasibility assessments, helping to identify opportunities and navigate potential planning constraints to support successful project delivery.
You'll play a key role in managing planning applications from submission through to determination, preparing high-quality planning and appeal submissions and developing practical planning solutions that meet both client objectives and local authority requirements. We'll rely on you to build positive relationships with local authority planners, stakeholders and communities, supporting consultations and helping to address planning-related queries throughout the project lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We'll encourage you to build lasting client relationships and contribute to the continued success and growth of the business.
