Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) in Digital Transformation

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) in Digital Transformation within Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), Faculty of Humanities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Information Systems & Operations Management Group and contribute to world-class research and teaching in digital transformation. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong socio-technical perspective, who can explore how digital technologies interact with organisational strategy, culture, and change.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at the University’s Oxford Road campus.

You will contribute to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivering engaging, research-informed content in areas such as digital transformation, organisational change, and digital innovation. You will also develop an independent research profile, contributing to high-quality publications, externally funded projects, and wider impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  • Teaching topics such as digital transformation, digital strategy, organisational change, and platform and ecosystem thinking
  • Supervising student projects and contributing to academic support and pastoral care
  • Developing and publishing internationally recognised research in digital transformation or a related field
  • Contributing to research funding applications, partnerships, and external engagement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
