Job Title: Trade Counter and Warehouse Person/Relief Driver

Location: Reading, UK

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a versatile and efficient Trade Counter and Warehouse Person/Relief Driver to join our team in Reading. This role involves a combination of responsibilities, including handling customer orders and enquiries at the trade counter, managing stock levels in the warehouse, and providing relief driving cover when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and assisting them with their orders at the trade counter
  • Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Managing stock levels in the warehouse and ensuring inventory is properly organised
  • Preparing orders for delivery and loading/unloading delivery vehicles
  • Driving company vehicles to deliver goods to customers when needed
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the trade or construction industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A clean UK driving license with experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as required
