Are you looking to start your career in banking, finance, or international business?
Join Societe Generale's Trade Finance team and gain hands-on experience within a global banking group that supports businesses trading across the world. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop valuable commercial and operational skills, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in financial services.
No prior trade finance experience is required – we'll provide training, mentoring and support to help you succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Trade Finance Trainee, you'll work closely with teams across the bank to support corporate clients and help facilitate international trade transactions.
You'll:
- Support clients with day-to-day enquiries and requests.
- Help monitor and process trade finance transactions.
- Work with colleagues across operations, risk, compliance and relationship management teams.
- Assist with reporting, research and administrative activities.
- Learn about trade finance products such as guarantees and letters of credit.
- Develop an understanding of banking regulations, risk management and customer service.

You'll ideally have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, International Business or a related subject.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous internship, placement or work experience is welcome but not essential.
