The Banking & Finance team advises on a wide range of complex and high-value transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, trade finance, and project finance. The Role
A standout opportunity for a Banking & Finance Solicitor with Trade Finance experience to join a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding team with excellent mentorship and support throughout while you progress your legal career.
As a Senior Associate or Managing Associate in the Banking & Finance team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters, with a particular focus on Trade Finance. Your work will include advising on bilateral and syndicated lending, trade finance transactions, banking regulation and compliance and issues relating to money laundering regulations and sanctions.
Alongside this, you’ll have the chance to build and develop your own profile, with a strong emphasis on business development that will contribute to both your success and the team’s growth. You’ll also play a key role in supporting junior fee earners, providing supervision and guidance to help them thrive.

Requirements
- 5+ years PQE (England & Wales), with a strong background in Trade Finance, including experience with letters of credit, receivables finance, and credit risk insurance.
- A solid understanding of regulatory capital, non-payment insurance, and the role of insurance in Trade Finance.
- Experience with electronic shipping and trade documentation, export credit arrangements, and borrowing-based lending structures.
- Familiarity with the oil, gas, metals, and soft commodities sectors would be beneficial.
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering quality legal services.
- An enthusiastic approach to business development and marketing, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
