World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for an experienced Trade Floor IT Support Engineer to provide high-quality technical support within a fast-paced front-office trading environment.
The ideal candidate focuses on delivering responsive, hands-on support to trading floor users, ensuring minimal disruption to critical trading activities and maintaining high availability of trading technology.
This is a contract Role & Inside IR35
Trade Floor IT Support Engineer
Contract Duration:
6 months rolling contract
Location:
London, United Kingdom (Hybrid with 4 days Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote IT support for front-office trading floor users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across desktops, laptops, and trading peripherals.
- Support and maintain trading floor technologies, including market data applications, trading platforms, and communication tools.
- Manage and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments, including OS upgrades and migration projects.
- Perform desktop builds, imaging, software installation, and patch management.
- Maintain and support trading floor hardware, including multi-monitor setups, docking stations, and specialist trading equipment.
- Work collaboratively with infrastructure, network, and application support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Respond rapidly to incidents in a time-critical trading environment.
- Maintain documentation, asset records, and support procedures.
- Contribute to technology rollouts, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Trade Floor or Front Office IT Support within financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10 / Windows 11 support, upgrades, and migrations.
- Solid troubleshooting experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Exchange.
- Experience using desktop deployment and imaging tools such as SCCM, Intune, or Autopilot.
- Familiarity with market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar).
- Experience supporting multi-monitor trading environments and specialist trading hardware.
- Good understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills in high-pressure environments.
