Trade Lifecycle Analyst – Pre- and Post-Trading Operations

About the Role

Join JPMorgan Chase—where your expertise in cash movements, funding coordination, and process optimisation drives operational excellence. As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within JPMorgan Chase, you’ll oversee the pre- and post-trading lifecycle operations across all asset classes, with a critical focus on:

  • Managing cash inflows and outflows from client accounts.
  • Preparing funding for managed demand deposit accounts.
  • Collaborating with business lines to ensure seamless funding.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and contributing to automation initiatives.
  • Developing a deep understanding of market products and emerging technologies.

Your role is pivotal in resolving operational challenges while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Guided by experienced professionals, you’ll progress in a dynamic environment where analytical thinking, adaptability, and cross-functional collaboration directly impact team and financial objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Cash Operations: Accurately monitor, allocate, and reconcile cash movements in and out of client accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Funding Coordination: Partner with internal business lines to facilitate proper funding, eliminating delays and streamlining workflows.
  • Process Innovation: Drive operational efficiencies by identifying gaps in trade lifecycle processes and proposing automation solutions.
  • Project Contribution: Assist in project planning and execution for trade lifecycle optimisations, from initiation to implementation.
  • Financial Acumen: Develop expertise in market products, regulations, and financial workflows to inform daily operations.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Meet tight deadlines by prioritising tasks, applying logical reasoning, and challenging industry norms to improve outcomes.

** Qualifications & Skills**

Required:

  • Fundamental knowledge of financial markets and the transactionLifecycle (experience preferred).
  • Cash management expertise, including coordination with business stakeholders for funding alignment.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies and familiarity with automation technologies.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills (demonstrated intermediary or relationship-building experience).
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, validated by participation in planning/execution tasks.

Preferred:

  • Economics or Industrial Engineering degree (strong analytics mindset a plus).
  • Industry-specific finance operations experience in managing or optimising financial processes.
  • VBA scripting skills, leveraged for automating financial operations to enhance productivity.
