Trade Marketing Manager

Our client, a thriving consumer healthcare company established for over 20 years in the UK, operates through a dual strategy covering branded OTC/medical device products and private-label manufacturing. Aiming to aggressively expand in its core categories—both domestically and internationally—they have created a new senior management role: Trade Marketing Manager.

This position is responsible for UK and International business, ensuring full accountability for developing and delivering end-to-end trade marketing strategies. Key tasks include:

  • Defining and executing trade marketing strategies across regional markets.
  • Leading NPD (New Product Development) and launch programmes.
  • Collaborating closely with retailers, distributors, and trade partners to align execution with excellence.

About the Role

  • Reports to: CEO of the business
  • Location: Midlands HQ, with a hybrid remote/office model
  • Remuneration: Highly competitive, designed for high performers with a growth mindset and autonomy-driven accountability

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Oversee UK and international trade marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • andle NPD & Launches: Actively contribute to and manage new product launches, securing retail buy-in.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with retail, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive strategy execution.
  • Enabling Trades: Provide retailers and distributors with tailored tools, materials, and training to optimise sales.
  • Growth-Driven Focus: Identify opportunities to expand market presence via targeted trade initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven success in marketing or consumer healthcare/FMCG roles, with a commercially sophisticated perspective.
  • Previous placement in trade marketing, brand management, or sales (preferably in consumer goods) preferred.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and deliver under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
